Educational Qualification
B.Sc. in Medical from GNDU, Amritsar
M.Sc. in Medical Bioinformatics from PU, Patiala
Ph.D., 2023, INST Mohali (Indian Institute of Science and Educational Research), India
Group Member: July 2017 to July 2023.
Area of Research: Shikha was a PhD student in Prof. Ehesan’s lab at INST Mohali, India. Here, she works on studying the protein-ligand interaction of antimalarial drug resistance and its mechanism by applying computational approaches. She received her Ph.D. in computational biology in August 2023 from the Indian Institute of Science and Educational Research in Mohali, India, for her work on antimalarial drug actions and their mechanisms of resistance. Shikha joined the Computational System Biology Section (CSBS) group at NIAID, USA, in November 2023 to further pursue her interest in 3D structural modeling to create a generalizable predictive algorithm for TCR-pMHC binding specificities and their influence on TCR-pMHC complex stability, a variable that plays an important role in stochastic models of T-cell activation. She is also interested in modeling cell trafficking kinetics by employing computational multi-compartment models.
